MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – The next session of the contact group on resolving the situation in Ukraine's east and sessions of the subgroups will take place on 15 May, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik on 26 April.
On 26 April members of the subgroup on economic affairs discussed the decision made by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in March. The council decided to suspend freight traffic via the contact line except for humanitarian cargoes. The introduction of the so-called external administration for enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction in several areas of Lugansk Oblast and Donetsk Oblast was also discussed. Martin Sajdik noted with regret that no decisions had been made on these matters.
The discussion about water supply in individual areas of Lugansk Oblast was more productive. During the discussion the sides demonstrated their readiness to settle the debts and resume water supply in full.
The discussion on politics focused on matters relating to the Steinmeier formula.
