MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) - The joint working group on the implementation of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Adygea (Russian Federation) and the Government of Belarus on trade, economic, sci-tech, social and cultural cooperation held its meeting on 28 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian food industry concern Belgospischeprom.
The event was headed by Belgospischeprom Deputy Chairman Aleksandr Yakovchits and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Adygea Mahmoud Tlekhas. As for the industrial sector, the parties considered the possibility for representatives of AMKODOR Holding Company (AMKODOR-Yug) to take part in the procurement of road-building and other equipment in the Republic of Adygea. The Belarusian Industry Ministry shows interest in locating production facilities of domestic industrial enterprises in the industrial park in Takhtamukaysky District of Adygea.
In the agricultural and food sector, specialists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Maykop State Technological University plan to develop cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, including on the issues of breeding, primary seed production and genetics of the regions' main crops, nature-like technologies in agriculture and food production. The meeting participants considered the possibility of increasing the supply of agricultural products to the Republic of Adygea, whose economic entities will be able to take part in the international exhibition Belagro 2024. The parties also talked over the possibility of establishing cooperation between the specialists of Maykop State Technological University and the NASB Scientific and Practical Center for Food Products.
Education is viewed as one of the most promising areas for bilateral cooperation. The parties discussed the possibility for students of Belarusian general education institutions to take part in the international school Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad and the South Russian Mathematical Olympiad Assara held at Adygea State University jointly with the National Natural Sciences and Mathematics School and the regional center for identification and support of gifted children Polaris-Adygea. The All-Russian contest of youth projects Fulfill Your Dream and the All-Russian contest of student initiatives and projects in the agro-industrial complex Agricultrual Worker are ready to accept and consider the proposals of Belarusian gifted youth. Representatives of the BRSM Youth Union together with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Committee on Youth Affairs of the Republic of Adygea are looking into the possibility for young people from Belarus to take part in the interregional gathering of talented youth Fisht and developing a plan of joint activities as part of patriotic education.
The next meeting of the working group will be held in the Republic of Adygea. After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to Khatyn to lay flowers in memory of our common tragic past - the history and people who defend their native land at the cost of incredible efforts.
