Oman ready to invest in Belarus' agricultural sector

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Oman is ready to invest in the agricultural sector of Belarus, Sergei Rachkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt with concurrent accreditation to Oman, Algeria and Sudan, said in the Nedelya show on the STV channel on 25 September, BelTA has learned.

“One of Oman's key tasks is to strengthen its food security. Oman shows big interest in the Belarusian agricultural sector in order to invest in the area and get the most out of it in the form of food products that can be supplied to Oman and its neighboring countries,” Sergei Rachkov said.

The Omani business is also interested in the products of the mechanical engineering industry (trucks and passenger transport), fertilizers from Belarus. “We have a well-developed science. We can share a lot. The Omani Research Council is interested in a number of projects. We have submitted 49 projects to the council for consideration. We expect the council will say which projects it chooses in the near future,” the Ambassador noted.
