MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – There has been no increase in the flow of goods to Belarus since the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement was signed, Chairman of Belarus' State Customs Committee Yuri Senko told journalists on 26 January, BelTA has learned.
“The customs service operates in a regular mode. We instructed the staff that there may be an increase in the flow of some goods into the country. But no such increase has happened so far,” Yuri Senko said.
He pointed out that the association agreement regulates the relations between Ukraine and the European Union, and therefore, the flow of goods is carried out between them. “Our border with Ukraine is under normal control. We see no problems, the situation is absolutely calm,” Yuri Senko stressed.
In June 2015, Ukraine and the European Union signed the economic part of the association agreement providing for the creation of a free trade zone.
