Kobyakov: Economic growth in EAEU more sustainable

ASTANA, 14 August (BelTA) - The economic growth in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is becoming more sustainable, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Astana, BelTA has learned.

“I am very pleased that our meeting is held against the background of economic growth, which happens for the first time in recent years. Growth is becoming more sustainable; more economic sectors report positive dynamics. This inspires optimism,” Belarus' prime minister said.

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council has gathered for a meeting in Astana during EXPO 2017. “I would like to thank the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan for the warm welcome, for the intensive bilateral meeting we held yesterday, and for the proper conditions for participation of Belarusian economic entities in EXPO 2017. “Yesterday the Kazakh prime minister and I had the opportunity to visit the Belarusian Pavilion and see, once again, how diverse our potential of interaction in the union is. I was also sincerely impressed by the professionalism and the quality of the innovative ideas that Kazakhstan, as a host-country, has demonstrated at such large-scale exhibition,” Andrei Kobyakov said.
