Bellegprom to open 8 Da Domu stores in Russian big cities

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) - The first Da Domu store opened in Russian Yekaterinburg on 22 December, and the second one in Novosibirsk on 26 December 2023. Plans are in place to open eight more stores in large Russian cities in 2024-2025, Chairwoman of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom Tatiana Lugina said in an interview to the Economy of Belarus Magazine, BelTA has learned.

“How has it been before? A wholesaler would come to us and pick up the products, or we would ship products to them. Buyers were mainly from Moscow, Moscow Oblast, Smolensk, and Ivanovo. This is not enough today. Given the loss of Ukrainian and Western markets, we are facing a completely different task: to develop the far away areas in eastern Russia - Siberia and the Far East. In the past year and a half we have been working hard on a joint trade network with Russian business in Novosibirsk Oblast in addition to wholesale trade. Plans for this year also include the development of Irkutsk, Vladivostok and other Far Eastern regions through goods promotion efforts,” Tatiana Lugina said.

The Bellegprom's enterprises are constantly developing branded trade networks abroad independently or through franchising. Belarusian light industry products are presented in 731 foreign stores. Milavitsa, Belwest and Svitanak are among the most popular brands. Three outlets of mixed assortment BelRU Market have been opened in Russia (two in Moscow and one in Solnechnogorsk) as well as three outlets of the national store-chain Da Domu.

Da Domu stores feature products of about 40 Belarusian manufacturers. Sixteen of them are large producers, and the rest are artisans and small businesses.
