Belarusian food producers in for joint Belarusian-Russian inspection on 2-5 May

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) will work together to inspect a number of Belarusian enterprises on 2-5 May, BelTA has learned.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor website, specialists of the Russian food quality watchdog and representatives of the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry will jointly inspect the enterprises that make dairy products, meat products, and fish products.

BelTA reported earlier that Rosselkhoznadzor's previous inspection team worked in Belarus in April for nine days. Five groups of Russian specialists inspected 18 Belarusian enterprises back then. Restrictions on exporting merchandise to Russia were lifted for two Belarusian companies — Veles Meat and Babushkina Krynka — as a result of the inspection.
