Belarus to raise oil export duties 1 March

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Belarus will raise export duties on oil and oil products, which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, on 1 March 2017. The relevant decision is stipulated by the Council of Ministers' executive order No.160 of 25 February 2017, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

The export duty on crude oil will be increased from $89.5 to $91 per tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline will be raised from $49.2 to $50 per tonne, with the export duty on commercial gasoline up from $26.8 to $27.3 per tonne.

The export duty on light and medium distillates will make up $27.3 per tonne, up from $26.8. The same rate will be applied to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously were revised upwards on 1 February.
