Belarus' retail trade up by 10.1% in January-May 2018

MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) - In January-May 2018 retail trade in Belarus reached Br17.2 billion, up by 10.1% in comparable prices versus January-May 2017, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.

In January-May 2018 wholesale trade totaled Br36.4 billion, up by 7.3% in comparable prices from January-May 2017.

In January-May 2018, one-day retail sales per capita made up Br12 as against Br10.3 in January-May 2017.

Retail trade by trade companies accounted for 88.8% of the total and amounted to Br15.3 billion, up by 12.4% in comparable prices.

In January-May 2018, trade by public catering facilities totaled Br955.2 million and saw an increase of 13.3% in comparable prices versus the same period a year prior.
