Belarus raises oil export duties

MINSK, 1 July (BelTA) – Belarus has raised export duties on oil and oil products, which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. The relevant decision is stipulated by the Council of Ministers' executive order No.503 of 28 June 2016, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

On 1 July 2016 the export duty on crude oil went up from $80.6 to $95.9 per tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline raised from $57.2 to $68 per tonne, with the export duty on commercial gasoline going up from $49.1 to $58.4 per tonne.

The export duty on light and medium distillates is now $38.3 per tonne, up from $32.2. The same rate will be applied to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised on 1 June. Back then they were revised upwards as well.
