Alexander Turchin may head Business Development Council

MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) - Alexander Turchin, the Head of the Office of the Council of Ministers, may head the Business Development Council under the aegis of the President, Belarus Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky told the media following his report to the president on raising the role of the Business Development Council on 19 September, BelTA has learned.

“The membership of the council has been partially renewed. Head of the Office of the Council of Ministers Alexander Turchin has been suggested as director of the council,” Vladimir Zinovsky said.

According to the document, the council will consider and coordinate draft normative acts, including those influencing the order and conditions of conducting business activities. The council will be able to make legislation improvement proposals to the Economy Ministry and the Council of Ministers. Such proposals will be compulsory for consideration.

Members of the council will take part in the work of public consultative councils on business development, set up at the national government bodies and other governmental organizations, local governments.
