MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – UAE Team defeated Balkans Team (9:5) in their first Group B match at the 15th Christmas Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
UAE Team featured forwards Mikhail Klimin and Sergei Zadelenov who are now promoting ice hockey in this Arab country. It is the fifth time the UAE team have been taking part in the Christmas tournament in Minsk. This experience translated into their victory over Balkans Team. The Arab team was strengthened by famous Belarusian forward Artyom Senkevich.
UAE Team will play their second Group B match against China on the big ice rink of Chizhovka Arena on 4 January (13.00).
