MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – BC Tsmoki Minsk extended their losing streak in the VTB United League to 11 matches losing to BC Lokomotiv Kuban 75-101 at Minsk Arena on 12 April, BelTA has learned.
Minsk had a few successful possessions and three minutes later were up – 11-6. The hosts, however, could not develop the success as the visiting team took over the game quickly to secure a confident win.
Kris Clyburn led Tsmoki Minsk with 22 points.
This season Rostislav Vergun's men are showing poor performance, securing only two victories in 21 matches. Tsmoki Minsk go 13th in the table.
BC Zenit Saint Petersburg top the standings with 19 wins, then go BC CSKA Moscow and BC Lokomotiv Kuban (16 wins each). BC UNICS Kazan hold 15 victories.
BC Tsmoki Minsk will next play BC Enisey Krasnoyarsk on 16 April and BC Khimki on 21 April at home and will wrap up the season on 25 April against BC Astana in Nur-Sultan.
Eight best teams will advance to the VTB United League playoffs.
