TOKYO, 5 August (BelTA) – Ali Shabanau of Belarus lost in the Men's Freestyle 86kg repechage and completed his Olympic campaign in Tokyo, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian's opponent, Myles Nazem Amine, started the fight with a take-down attempt. Then the attacking mood on the mat subsided. Trying to stir up the fighters, the referees punished the Belarusian for passiveness and the score became 0-1.
In the second period, the Belarusian was punished again and the opponent got another point.
In the remaining minute and a half, Shabanau's opponent went into defense and managed to keep his advantage.
