TOKYO, 6 August (BelTA) - Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau of Belarus secured silver in the Men's Freestyle 74kg at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, BelTA has learned.
Russia's Zaurbek Sidakov claimed the champion title.
In the first minutes of the final bout the wrestlers did not produce many technical actions. The judges decided that the Russian athlete was more active 1-0.
In the second half of the bout the prominent Russian athlete extended his advantage. Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau's attempts to change the situation were unsuccessful. The result is 7-0 in favor of the Russian wrestler.
Kyle Dake of the United States and Uzbekistan's Bekzod Abdurakhmonov won bronze medals.
