MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – A test tournament in artistic gymnastics kicked off at Minsk Arena on 25 April ahead of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.
Taking part in the tournament are 42 athletes from Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Finland, and Lithuania. They will compete for medals in all-round and individual competitions. The Belarusian team includes winner of Junior Men's Artistic European Championships 2018 in vault Sviataslau Dranitski, World Cup medalist Vasili Mikhalitsyn, and also European Games license winners Yahor Sharamkou and 15-year-old Anastasiya Alistratava.
The tournament will last till 27 April.
Artistic gymnastics is part of the European Games program. On 27-30 June, 90 athletes will compete for 12 medal sets at Minsk Arena.More about Sport
