Stepan Shpak wins silver at 2019 World Beach Games

MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – Belarusian water-skier Stepan Shpak clinched the water ski jump silver at the 2019 World Beach Games in Doha, Qatar, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

The Belarusian showed his best result of 59.2m in the second attempt. Vladimir Ryanzin of Russia recorded 59.9m to secure gold. Bronze went to Emile Ritter of Chile (59.1m).

“I am happy with the result. All the rivals are strong. The organization of the games is superb,” the Belarusian athlete said.

Stepan Shpak's silver has become the third medal for Belarus at the 1st World Beach Games in Qatar. Belarusian water-skier Aliaksandra Danisheuskaya clinched the water ski jump gold, while Hanna Straltsova took bronze in the event.
