MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 100 Aliaksandra Sasnovich took a two-set victory over world number 71 Maraa Camila Osorio Serrano of Colombia, 6-0, 6-4, in the Indian Wells opener, BelTA has learned.
Belarus' world number 32 Victoria Azarenka will open against world number 54 Magda Linette of Poland in the round of Last 64.
World number two Aryna Sabalenka is missing out on the event with a COVID-19 positive test.
