MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 45 Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost to World No.80 Magda Linette of Poland 1-6, 4-6 in the second round of the NYJTL Bronx Open in New York, BelTA has learned.
In the opener the Belarusian took a solid win over Slovenia's world number 56 Polona Hercog 6-3, 6-2.
In the women's doubles round one Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Czech's Viktoria Kuzmova lost 1-6, 0-6 to China's Chan Hao-Ching and Latisha Chan.
Next week Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Aryna Sabalenka (World No.9) and Victoria Azarenka (World No.41) will play at the US Open in New York.
