Marina Zueva
MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) - Marina Zueva of Belarus delivered a commendable performance at the 25th Winter Olympic Games in Milan, said Belarus’ Sports Minister Sergei Kovalchuk, BelTA has learned.
On 12 February, Marina Zueva secured sixth place - her best Olympic result ever. According to the minister, given the current circumstances, this is quite a respectable outcome, especially considering that Belarusian athletes have been sidelined from international competitions. In cross-country skiing, for the same reasons, no major breakthrough was expected either. “Hanna Karaliova performed to the best of her ability. But we still have events ahead of us, so we’re not giving up, we’re looking forward to the performances of our other athletes as well,” Sergei Kovalchuk said.

Competing for medals of the 25th Winter Olympic Games in the coming days will be five more representatives of Belarus: Victoriia Safonova (figure skating), Maria Shkanova (alpine skiing), Hanna Huskova, Anna Derugo, and Anastasiya Andryianava (aerials).
