MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 90 Ilya Ivashka lost to world number 8 Roger Federer of Switzerland 6-7 (4-7), 5-7 at the start of the 2021 Halle Open, BelTA has learned.
The match lasted for an hour and 35 minutes.
Ilya Ivashka had to go through the qualifying to reach the main draw, beating world number 225 Tatsuma Ito of Japan 6-1, 6-3 and Australia's world number 101 James Duckworth 2-6, 6-4, 6-0.
The grass court tournament in Halle will be over on 20 June.
