MINSK, 31 October (BelTA) – The Court of Arbitration for Sport's Anti-Doping Division (CAS ADD) has welcomed the International Biathlon Union (IBU) as its new signatory, BelTA learned from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.
With this agreement, the CAS ADD will now be responsible for first-instance adjudication of alleged anti-doping rule violations, including any sanctions, arising under the IBU's Anti-Doping Rules.
The CAS ADD began operating in January 2019. It has been established to hear and decide anti-doping cases as a first-instance authority upon written delegation of powers from the IOC, International Federations, International Testing Agency and any other signatories to the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC).
