MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Evgeny Dolgolevets of Belarus has claimed the WBA Intercontinental super lightweight champion title, BelTA has learned.
The fight with Russian Fyodor Papazov took place at the Professional Boxing Night in Krasnodar. The fight was dominated by the Belarusian athlete.
In the second half of the bout Fyodor Papazov tried to steal the initiative but Evgeny Dolgolevets held his nerve to secure the victory, 96:94, 98:92, 96:94.
