MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) – World number 78 Egor Gerasimov of Belarus defeated world number 90 Lloyd Harris of South Africa 6-3, 7-5 at the start of the 2021 Murray River Open, BelTA has learned.
In the round of Last 32 the Belarusian will face either world number 55 Marton Fucsovics of Hungary or world number 79 Marco Cecchinato of Italy.
At the round of Last 32 at the Yarra Valley Class world number 298 Vera Lapko of Belarus lost 6-4, 3-6, 2-6 to Croatia's world number 18 Petra Martic. At the opener the Belarusian saw off Kazakhstan's world number 1479 Yaroslava Shvedova.
At the round of Last 32 at the Gippsland Trophy world number 7 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus will face Estonia's world number 94 Kaia Kanepi, while Aliaksandra Sasnovich (90) will take on Romania's world number 79 Irina Begu.
