Dzmitry Dziubin wins silver at 2019 Military World Games

MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – Dzmitry Dziubin of Belarus secured silver in the Men's 50km Race Walk at the 7th CISM World Games 2019 which are underway in Wuhan, China on 18-27 October, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian clocked 3:53.14 to come in second. Wang Qin of China won the event in 3:51.56. Bronze went to Sergii Budza of Ukraine (4:26.03).

In the Women's 20kg Race Walk, Nadzeya Darazhuk of Belarus placed fourth with the total time of 1:40.56. Gold was taken by Yang Jiayu of China (1:30.03). Yin Hang of China finished second in 1:33.16. German Teresa Zurek clocked 1:37.44 to claim bronze.

More than 9,300 military athletes from 109 countries are competing in 27 sports at the 2019 Military World Games. Belarus has fielded 97 athletes at the games.
