Belarusian President's Sports Club bolsters ties with partners from U.A.E.

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – The President's Sports Club of Belarus and Abu Dhabi Sports Council signed a cooperation memorandum that sets out the key areas of bilateral cooperation in sports, BelTA learned from the Presidential Sports Club.

The agreement with the sports agency of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will be a starting point for expanding the already fruitful cooperation with partners from the U.A.E., for example with the Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club and the U.A.E. Ice Sports Federation within the framework of existing bilateral agreements, said Pavel Egorov, the assistant to the chairman of the President's Sports Club.

During the visit to Abu Dhabi, Chairman of the Central Council of the President's Sports Club Dmitry Lukashenko met with Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss bilateral ties in sports and charity.

At the invitation of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E.'s Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the head of the Belarusian delegation attended, as a guest of honor, the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics World Games running in the U.A.E. on 14-21 March. The President's Sports Club supports and shares the objectives of the Special Olympics movement which makes an invaluable contribution to promoting a positive social change for people with intellectual disabilities and to creating a more inclusive society.
