MINSK, 4 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian U17 national ice hockey team defeated the United States 3-1 at the Bauer Cup in Beijing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.
Both the teams are among the favorites at the tournament. Pavel Perepekhin's men showed a great offensive hockey. Sergei Kusnetsov, Ilya Spat and German Pirogovsky scored for Belarus.
The current team standings are as follows: Belarus – 10 points, the United States – 6, Latvia – 6, Russia – 5, Finland – 3, Germany – 0.
The Bauer Cup winner will be named on 5 October.
