MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Fourteen Belarusian boxers will compete at the 7th CISM World Games 2019 which will be held in Wuhan, China on 18-27 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Boxing Federation.
Belarus will field Aliaksandr Butrim (52kg), Mikalai Shakh (56kg), Yahor Kurbanau (60kg), Dzmitry Asanau (64kg), Dzmitry Milyusha (69kg), Anton Stelmakhou (75kg), Hleb Snkevich (81kg) and Uladzislau Smiahlikau (91kg), Yana Burym (51kg), Yulia Apanasovich (54kg), Galina Bruyevich (57kg), Alla Yarashevich (60kg), Alina Veber (69kg), and Viktoryya Kebikava (75kg).
Athletes of the Armed Forces of Belarus have been taking part in the CISM World Games since 1995.
This year's sport forum will gather more than 9,000 athletes from 110 countries. Belarus' national team at the games will total 97 athletes that will compete in 12 out of 27 events: archery, boxing, fencing, judo, modern pentathlon, shooting, diving, track and field athletics, triathlon, wrestling, military pentathlon, and parachuting.
Belarus won 13 (one gold, six silver and six bronze) medals at the 6th CISM World Games.
