Belarus' Premier League: Vitaly Lisakovich named Player of the Month

MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Forward of FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk Vitaly Lisakovich has been named the Player of the Month for May at the ongoing Belarusian Premier League, BelTA has learned.

In May the 22-year-old forward scored four goals in five matches and made one assist. According to the traditional poll conducted by the Belarusian Football Federation with the participation of representatives of the leading mass media, Vitaly Lisakovich got 41 out of 48 points. The list also included Igor Stasevich (FC BATE Borisov), Luiz Veloso (FC Torpedo BelAZ Zhodino), Gegham Kadymyan (FC Neman Grodno).

Gabriel Ramos of FC Torpedo BelAZ was named the Best Player of the Month for April.

Kirill Alshevsky (FC BATE Borisov) was named the Best Coach of the Month for May. His team secured five victories in May and won the Belarus Cup. Kirill Alshevsky earned 46 out of 48 points. Among his rivals were Yuri Vernidub (FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk), Vladimir Belyavsky (FC Energetik BGU Minsk) and Yuri Puntus (FC Torpedo BelAZ Zhodino). Vitaly Pavlov (FC Slutsk) was named the Best Coach of the Month for April.

FC BATE Borisov top the table with 26 points after the 12 tours. Second go FC Shakhtyor with 24 points. FC Torpedo BelAZ and FC Energetik BGU with 22 points each go third and fourth respectively.

The matches of the 13th tour will be played on 12-14 June.
