Belarus NOC announces first award nominees

MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – The first nominees for the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus award have been announced on 22 December, BelTA has learned.

The award ceremony will take place in Minsk on 24 December. The NOC of Belarus will honor the achievements of outstanding athletes and coaches with special awards in five categories: Best Male Athlete, Best Female Athlete, Best Coach, Best Team, and Breakthrough of the Year. On 22 December, the award organizers announced the nominees in the first three categories.

The nominees for Best Male Athlete are Ivan Litvinovich (trampoline), Yauheni Zalaty (rowing), and Anton Smolski (biathlon). Competing for the title of Best Female Athlete are Alina Harnasko (rhythmic gymnastics), Aryna Sabalenka (tennis), and Vasilina Khandoshka (artistic swimming). The top three in the Best Coach category are Nicolas Alvarado (beach soccer), Olga Vlasova (trampoline), and Vitaly Bely (rowing).
