Belarus competing at 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Azerbaijan's Baku is hosting the 37th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. The first day of the competitions featured qualifications for athletes performing with the ball and the loop. Belarus' Katsiaryna Halkina and Alina Harnasko currently go 12th and 19th respectively, BelTA has learned.

Katsiaryna Halkina scored 20,600 points for her routine with the Ball. Alina Harnasko took a total of 19,600 points. The chart is topped by Russia's Dina Averina (23,650) who is followed by Russia's Ekaterina Selezneva (23,400) and Bulgaria's Boryana Kaleyn (21,600).

The athletes are competing for the All-Around finals. The competitions in Baku envisage Tokyo Olympics berths for 16 best athletes in the All-Around finals and also five best-performing teams.
