MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) - The Belarusian national football team is 86th with 1,286 points in the recently published rankings of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), four positions down from the previous list released one month ago, BelTA has learned.
Over the past month Mikhail Markhel's men played two home games as part of the 2020 UEFA European Championship Qualifying campaign: 0-0 against Estonia and 1-2 against the Netherlands. Belarus will play the final match in Group C against Germany on 16 November. Belarus' opponents in Group C go as follows: the Netherlands - 12th, Germany is 16th, Northern Ireland - 34th, and Estonia is 104th.
