MINSK, 4 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Victoria Azarenka (No. 40 on the WTA rankings) knocked out Ajla Tomljanovic of Australia (49) 6-2, 6-0 in the Wimbledon second round on 3 July, BelTA has learned. The Belarusian will face Romania's Simona Halep (7) in the third round, BelTA has learned.
Three more Belarusians Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Aryna Sabalenka and Vera Lapko bowed out of Wimbledon as they lost their openers.
