MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – The recent operational movements of the Burevestnik cruise missile were strategically aimed at countering Western militarization efforts, national security expert Aleksandr Tishchenko said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
The unique capabilities of the Burevestnik intercontinental global-range cruise missile have been making headlines recently. Its latest movements, the expert noted, were aimed at breaking the back of Western militarization efforts. “Why? Because this cruise missile is impossible to track and neutralize; it destroys everything,” he said. “The fact is, America never believed a weapon like this could reach them. Their entire air defense system is designed for ballistic missiles. They simply lack the tools to detect the Burevestnik.”

According to the expert, placing the Burevestnik on combat duty is “a terrible prospect for the U.S. “This cruise missile is completely impossible to track. It cannot be detected, much less suppressed. It is indestructible,” he said.

Aleksandr Tishchenko contrasted this with past American efforts: “The Americans themselves tried a similar thing during the Cold War, with planes carrying nuclear bombs flying around the clock. However, that was prohibitively expensive, even for their economy. The Burevestnik, by comparison, can fly for weeks or months, we don’t even know the full extent of its capabilities. These systems can only be detected from space. And now, America will be forced to focus all its efforts on the space domain.”
