MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) - The Days of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will take place at the UN Office in Geneva in 2025, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Utyupin said during the roundtable “The Future of the EAEU: Belarus at the forefront of integration processes. Chairmanship of the Republic of Belarus in the EAEU” in BelTA’s press center.
"In close cooperation with the EEC and EAEU member states, we are planning to organize the Days of EAEU at the UN Office in Geneva in 2025. We also aim to present a report on the progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals within the EAEU at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, which is annually held at the UN Headquarters in New York. These measures will help to establish the EAEU international position as a self-sufficient regional integration union and a powerful economic hub in the world," Pavel Utyupin said.
During its chairmanship in the EAEU, Belarus intends to actively continue developing mutually beneficial relations between the union and other countries and international integration organizations interested in equal and constructive cooperation. The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will focus on forming preferential trade regimes and leveraging opportunities to combine the integration potentials of the EAEU, CIS, SCO, BRICS, and ASEAN.
