MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Ukraine has shut down the Vilcha checkpoint on the border with Belarus until 3 March, BelTA informs citing the Telegram channel of the State Border Committee of Belarus.
“According to official information communicated by the Ukrainian side to the State Border Committee, in line with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, starting from 00.00 on 24 February, the Vilcha checkpoint (Aleksandrovka on the Belarusian side) will be closed until 3 March,” the message reads.
At present, the following road checkpoints are open on the border with Ukraine: Mokrany (Domanovo), Komarin (Slavutich), Novaya Guta (Novye Yarilovichy), Veselovka (Senkovka).
“We recommend taking this information into account when planning trips. Regular updates on the situation in front of the checkpoints are available on the website of the State Border Committee,” the State Border Committee noted.
No queues of freight vehicles en route to Ukraine were reported as of 10:00 a.m.
