MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – There are plans to launch direct flights between Russia’s Omsk and Minsk, Omsk Oblast Governor Vitaly Khotsenko told reporters following his meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 25 March, BelTA has learned.
According to Vitaly Khotsenko, the conversation with the Belarusian head of state touched upon the possibility of launching a direct flight between Minsk and Omsk in 2025. We are currently selecting a company that could operate this route. “We will try our best to bring this idea to fruition,” the governor said.
Direct flights will facilitate and promote wellness tourism. At present many residents of Omsk Oblast come to Minsk Oblast for recuperation. There are plans to get tourists interested in health resorts and sanatoriums located in other Belarusian regions as well.
