MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – In 2023 almost Br1.089 billion was allocated for energy-saving activities in Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization - Director of the Energy Efficiency Department Vitaly Kretsky said at the final meeting of the department, BelTA has learned.
“In 2023, nearly Br1.089 billion was allocated from all sources of financing for energy-saving activities, of which almost Br985.8 million (90.5%) was provided to finance measures to improve energy efficiency, and over Br103 million (9.5%) to increase the use of local fuels, including renewable energy sources,” said Vitaly Kretsky.
According to him, the main sources of financing for energy efficiency measures in the reporting period were own funds of organizations: their share in the total investment amounted to 71%. Local budgets contributed 21.5% and the central budget 3.3%.
