MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – The Marathon of Unity will cover all regions of the country and will start in Molodechno, head of the working group for the Marathon of Unity Anna Lukashenko said at a press conference dedicated to the nationwide social and cultural campaign Marathon of Unity in Minsk on 25 September, BelTA learned.
"Certainly, we started preparing for the marathon long before the official announcement. The preparations began on the instructions of the president. For several months experts from various areas and industries made their proposals and we formed the marathon’s program of events. Unity is a complex concept, so we filled our marathon with events that will unite people through culture, education, and other kinds of common activities," Anna Lukashenko said.
"The Marathon of Unity will start in Molodechno. The first events will be held there on 11 October," she stressed.

The program of both nationwide and local events has been already formed. Anna Lukashenko pointed out that the Marathon of Unity would cover every region of Belarus. The marathon will last two days and include various events. It will wrap up with a large-scale concert. Not only local creative groups, but also those coming from other regions of the country will take part in the concert.
"The Marathon of Unity will start in Molodechno. The first events will be held there on 11 October," she stressed.
