MUSCAT, 14 October (BelTA) – The Crown Prince of Oman and Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said expressed interest in closer cooperation with Belarus as he met with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, BelTA has learned.
“Our relations have a history of several decades. We hope to tap into new areas of cooperation. As the minister of culture, I am happy with the progress in our cooperation in this sphere. Several cultural events have already taken place; museums also maintain contacts,” Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said said.
The Belarusian head of government is paying an official visit to Oman on 13-14 October. He is scheduled to meet with Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said, and Chairman of the State Council AbdulMalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili.
A big package of documents is expected to be signed during the visit.
