Belarus, Russia’s Udmurtia to enhance cooperation in tourism

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) - Belarus and Udmurtia, Russia, will develop cooperation in tourism, BelTA learned from Belarus’ National Tourism Agency. 

A meeting to discuss the cooperation was held at the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry. Attending the meeting were Belarus’ Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Oleg Andreichik, Head of the Department of Marketing and Quality of Tourism Services of Belarus’ Sports and Tourism Ministry Irina Melguy, Director of the National Tourism Agency Dmitry Morozov, Udmurtia’s Tourism Minister Yulia Badash and department head at the Center for Tourism Development of Udmurtia Nikita Dyachenko.

During the meeting, the tourism potential and promising directions for tourism development were showcased. The parties agreed to organize joint study tours for representatives of their tourism industries. The parties also decided to exchange lists of tour operators to establish direct contacts and foster cooperation. 

The representatives of Udmurtia were invited to participate in the international tourism exhibition-fair Leisure 2026. The parties are set to sign a cooperation agreement to formalize the arrangements and thrash out cooperation plans in the tourism industry.
