Another session of citizen readmission commission held in Belarus

MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Gora has chaired another session of the commission in charge of considering petitions from Belarusian citizens, who stay abroad and need to know whether they face charges in Belarus. Some of the petitions were submitted for the commission’s consideration after the petitions were checked, representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office told BelTA.

In their petitions the citizens mentioned their desire to return to Belarus, be law-abiding citizens, and respect national symbols and traditions. After deliberations members of the commission decided to inform the petitioners about the absence of administrative proceedings that may result in administrative arrest, about unfulfilled rulings on the imposition of an administrative penalty in the form of administrative arrest, about an ongoing criminal investigation, rulings on recognizing them as suspects, rulings on bringing them in as suspects or about their procedural status with regard to misdemeanor cases or criminal cases as of the petition date.
