Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Namibia

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended congratulations to President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and the people of Namibia on Independence Day, on behalf of his fellow citizens and himself, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state confirmed Belarus’ interest in expanding interstate cooperation with Namibia, based on the principles of trust.

“Minsk places great importance on deepening economic ties with Windhoek. I am confident that we have every opportunity to do so. We are ready to take part in developing and implementing joint projects in agricultural mechanization and food security amid climate challenges, as well as in the development of mining, energy, science and education,” the message of congratulations reads.

The Belarusian president wished the Namibian president health and continued success in her political activities, and the people of the country – peace, solidarity and progress.
