MINSK, 1 January (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian nation and himself Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Slovak President Peter Pellegrini and Prime Minister Robert Fico on the national holiday – the Day of the Establishment of the Slovak Republic, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

“The historical path that the Slovak nation has traveled, its wisdom in determining its own destiny, love for its own land, and respect for traditions resonate deeply in the hearts of Belarusians,” reads the congratulatory message to Peter Pellegrini.

“I am confident that the restoration of full diplomatic presence, which will be completed with the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Bratislava this year, will significantly expand opportunities for practical proposals in all areas, including trade, investment, manufacturing cooperation, cooperation in science and technology, culture, education, and sport,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
