MOSCOW, 13 February (BelTA) - Interaction with our closest neighbors and strategic partners remains the priority, Member of the Board (Minister) for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Daniyar Imanaliev, said at a press conference in Moscow, BelTA has learned.
"Within the framework of international activities, interaction with our closest neighbors and strategic partners remains the priority. We strengthen this interaction every year is expanding the geography of third countries,” the EEC minister noted.
“In 2026, we plan to work with Turkmenistan, Laos, Malaysia, countries of the Middle East, and African nations. I would also like to highlight our interaction with integration associations that are similar to the Eurasian Economic Commission in terms of their scope of activities," he reported, clarifying that this refers to the African Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the SCO, BRICS, and a number of other international structures.
Daniyar Imanaliev recalled that the EAEU has free trade agreements with a number of countries, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Iran, Mongolia, and the United Arab Emirates. The Eurasian “five” is planning to expand the circle of countries with which it has free trade agreements.
In total, the EEC has signed memorandums of cooperation with the governments of 25 countries, with 12 regional and interstate associations, and with 47 international organizations.
