MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko went to attend the final stage of the 14th national beauty pageant Miss Belarus 2025, BelTA has learned.
The head of state arrived at the Palace of Sports where the colorful final show is taking place and took his seat among the viewers. The president’s presence at the event has already become a tradition and testifies to the high cultural status of the contest for the entire country. Thousands of spectators usually turn up to watch the final show, including, understandably, multiple groups that root for the contenders for the crown of Belarus’ most beautiful girl and prominent media personalities, state and public figures.

A panel of judges will select the winner of the Miss Belarus 2025 title out of the finalists, who have passed elimination rounds at the regional stage, the oblast stage, and the Minsk city stage. A total of 854 girls took part in the selection process, 24 girls reached the final stage, but only 23 girls went to the stage during the show at the Palace of Sports since one of the finalists could not attend due to poor health.
This year’s panel of judges included, for example, the opera singer and People's Artist of Belarus Vladimir Gromov, the Honored Master of Sports and silver medalist at the 2022 Winter Olympics biathlete Anton Smolski, the film director Kirill Khaletsky, Chairman of the Central Council of the Belarusian Physical Culture and Sports Society Dynamo Dmitry Balaba, Deputy Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Social Development Commission of the Council of the Republic Dmitry Baskov, and the current holder of the Miss Belarus 2023 title Eleonora Kachalovskaya.

The idea behind the final show titled as “The universe of beauty” is associated with beauty as a force that inspires achievements, feats, and creative victories.
The finalists received ovations from the audience for their performance in national costumes, which featured symbols of Belarusian ornamentation. Videos about the good deeds that the girls had managed to do while preparing for the final brought sincere emotion, laughter, and joy to the audience. In addition to the traditional charity activities for beauty contest participants (helping people with disabilities and homeless animals), there were also important patriotic initiatives (such as improving monuments and participating in the construction of the new National History Museum building), as well as activities that were quite unexpected for such elegant young women. For example, they sheared sheep and milked cows.
One of the runway walks featured original outfits with themed quotes from the Belarus president. Among them were statements by the head of state that Belarusian women are the world’s most beautiful women, that they are our most effective diplomatic weapon, that women’s happiness is the greatest value, and that their calling is to beautify the world.
