Lukashenko amazed by Tajikistan's presidential palace

MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has met with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe, BelTA has learned.

The two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation, the military and political situation in the region and the forthcoming summits of the CSTO and the SCO in the capital of Tajikistan.

Tajikistan's leader received his Belarusian counterpart in his famous office decorated with wood carving patterns in the Palace of Nations.

The first time Emomali Rahmon showed the new design of the palace to Aleksandr Lukashenko was in September 2018. The halls of the palace boast beautiful hand carved wooden decor in the national theme. The decorations used such types of wood as pine, oak, beech. The decoration project took less than a year to implement. Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke highly of the skillful work of Tajikistan artisans. “It is not just beautiful – it is stunning,” he said. Emomali Rahmon noted that Tajikistan is ready to share its best practices and do similar work in Belarus, if necessary.
