Belarusian delegation visits Zimbabwe

MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation that included Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolai Borisevich visited Zimbabwe on 9-10 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the official ceremony in the city of Mutare on 10 July, Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Kharitonchik handed over a batch of Belarusian forestry and fire-fighting machinery to the government of Zimbabwe. On 9 July, the Belarusian delegation paid a courtesy call on Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

On 9 July, Nikolai Borisevich also met with Zimbabwe Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Frederick Shava to discuss the bilateral relations and cooperation prospects.

The Belarusian delegation also held negotiations with Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement Anxious Masuka, Minister of Environment, Climate Change, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Nqobizitha Ndlovu, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works Zvinechimwe Churu. The parties discussed implementation of joint projects.
