Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko went on a working trip to Zhitkovichi District, Gomel Oblast, on 7 November. The head of state heard a report on the social and economic development of the region. Aleksandr Lukashenko visited the Saturn-1 company, which specializes in manufacturing components, assemblies, and other parts for railway rolling stock. It also produces goods for the mining, oil extraction, and construction industries, performing the full cycle of processing and manufacturing complex metal products and structures. The head of state also paid a visit to the Zhitkovichi Engine-Building Plant. The focus there was on developing modern production lines for gear pumps, as well as parts and components for diesel engines and agricultural machinery. As part of an investment project running from 2022 to 2025, the company is acquiring modern metalworking equipment.
