MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – Belarus is preparing for consultations with Russia about technical parameters of building the second nuclear power plant. Belarusian Energy Minister Denis Moroz made the relevant statement on the air of the TV channel Belarus One, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about the possible construction of the second nuclear power plant, the official said: “We are now getting ready for having technical consultations with the Russian Federation in order to discuss the matter of the technical parameters of the second Belarusian nuclear power plant, financial terms, and the timeframe when we will be able to implement it. As Belarusian energy industry professionals we are ready and believe that the first nuclear power plant and the second one will work for the benefit of our economy.”
